The Ethiopian Dictatorship Oversees Refugee Association In Sweden

The regime in Ethiopia is concerned over the current refugee Association in Sweden. They have previously stamped Ethiopian Refugee Association as "terrorists". Now it recognizes one of the country's top spy and censorship managers that they have hacked the refugee's home page.

It is the Director-General for information security, Tekle Berhane Woldu Aregawi, who in an interview with one of the regime's newspapers, Zemen magazine, says that the regime has cut the society's home page. There is also documented by the Ethiopian satellite tv, says Fentahun Assefa in the refugee compound.

"We saw that the website has been sabotaged and contacted our webbhotell. They confirmed that several attempts have been made, with different approaches towards the home page http://www.ethiorefugeswedenass.org Ethiopian Refugee Association received much attention for their demonstrations outside-the Ethiopian Consulate in Stockholm, Sweden with demands for the release of the two Swedish journalists Johan Persson and Martin Schibbye. The regime's brutality was known in Sweden by the accusations and the sentencing of the two. This was confirmed even more when they were released and returned to Sweden in september.

Critics of the regime in Ethiopia accused as Martin Schibbye and Johan Persson of terrorism with the help of forged "evidence" and sentenced to long prison sentences. Journalists are among those most affected. Many Ethiopian refugees in Sweden are also journalists.

It is known that the Consulate in Stockholm, spying on, register, and threaten the Ethiopian refugees.
"We who live in Sweden as refugees is committed towards the regime in Ethiopia. The regime knows who we are and our cousins in Ethiopia are recorded and harassed, "said Fentahun Assefa.

However, this has not yet received the Immigration Agency to modify its tough line against refugees from Etiopien.

Refugee Association summarizes:

"For us the refugees living in Sweden, the following occurs:

  1. Some have been halved food substitution.
  2. Second, no food allowances at all.
  3. We receive no medical care.
  4. The children must not go to preschool or school.
  5. Many are homeless, without a place to sleep.
We want justice and we need granted refugee status immediately. "Refugee Association calls for new meetings with the Immigration Agency, supported by the testimony of Martin Schibbye and Johan Persson.
